Roland DG Corporation  introduced the EGX-30 desktop engraver. Easy to afford and even easier to use, the EGX-30 engraves plastic for
professional badges, nameplates, key rings and luggage tags. It also scribes brass for awards and trophies.
"The EGX-30 is the least expensive computerized engraver on the market," said Matt Owens, Roland North and South American
Associate Product Manager. "It is a simple, easy-to-use machine that is perfect for first-time engravers and veteran engravers looking for
a second machine. Recognition shops are going to love it."

The EGX-30 is as easy to use as a desktop printer. Simply create a design with Dr. Engrave software and choose the appropriate tool. Dr.
Engrave automatically converts your data to an engraving path.

The EGX-30's low profile, small footprint and amazingly quiet operation make it the perfect desktop engraving device for any office, shop
or home. Its 305 mm x 205 mm (12-inch x 8.13-inch) work area, and industry-standard 3.175 mm (0.125-inch) diameter spindle provide
precision performance. Feed rate and spindle RPM can be adjusted with the user friendly knob on the control panel.
EGX-30 Features:
  • 305 mm x 205 mm (12-inch x 8.13-inch) work area
  • Push button surface detecting
  • Quiet operation
  • 2D Engraving software, Dr. Engrave included
  • EGX-30 driver for Windows(r) 95/98/Me, Windows NT(r) 4.0 and Windows(r) 2000
  • Rail tracking for smooth engraving
Dr. Engrave Software
Dr. Engrave features an automatic layout function that allows you to import an Excel database file in CSV format for multiple-plate
applications. Dr. Engrave quickly and easily imports your data and permits you to place columns of information into predefined text boxes
to produce an entire office building door-numbering project or nametags for a large company. It can even engrave bar codes for inventory
control applications.

With Dr. Engrave, users can create their own designs or import Windows bitmap images and Vector ArtTM from Roland clipart files.

Dr. Engrave uses Windows TrueType fonts. With its Fill Feature, it allows users to automatically produce smooth, bold, solid characters.
By placing a centerline on TrueType fonts, the software lets users create and save single stroke characters for faster engraving. Dr.
Engrave is compatible with Windows(r) 95/98/Me/NT4.0 and 2000.

Roland DG Corporation is leading the evolution of sign, graphics arts and 3D modeling industries with innovative hardware and software,
and is committed to offering better solutions to transform imagination into reality.
